AbrasiFRAC* – AN INNOVATIVE SERVICE FOR EFFICIENT ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY

Evaluation of daily hydraulic fracturing operations in multizone reservoirs of Priobskoye oil field revealed enormous potential for efficiency rise in frac cycle and reduction of completion time.

Priobskoye oil field is represented by three operated reservoirs ÀÑ12, ÀÑ11 and ÀÑ10 which, in most of the cases, are split into interlayers and on average 3–4 intervals of each well are subject to production enhancement.

The AbrasiFRAC* service has been introduced by Schlumberger as an efficient way to reduce frac cycle time and completion time required to put the well into production. AbrasiFRAC*  appears to be a progressive combination of two services: hydraulic fracturing and coiled tubing with a modern BHA - perforator AbrasiJET*, which allows jet perforating with  abrasive material pumped  through CT workstring, placement of proppant for temporary zonal isolation  (if needed), nitrogen kick off and wellbore  cleanout after stimulation of multiple intervals. Since packer is not employed in AbrasiFRAC* operations, it is necessary that premium casing is being used, for instance grade E instead of grade D widely used in Western Siberia.
