TATNEFT Company is successfully introducing innovative technologies at its own fields. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, his assistant Rinat Sabirov and representatives of regional, republican and local media accompanied by experts of the Company familiarized themselves with practical application of formation hydraulic fracturing (FHF) at well # 20960, which belongs to the first crude oil production area of NGDU Almetyevneft.

 

FHF operations were performed by OOO Tatneft-RemServis Company.

 

FHF technology becomes one of the effective ways to significantly increase the recovery percentage of underground resources and cost-effectively operate the wells in the late stage of development at the time when major oil reserves are hard to recover.

 

Well selection process is performed by the team of technological engineers, geologists of NGDU, specialists of OOO Tatneft-RemServis Company and scientists, while engineering design of FHF is performed with application of the world-wide known "Meyer" computer program. A high class engineering approach includes preliminary information collection and analysis of geological and geophysical surveys data, as well as performing of mini-hydraulic fracturing operations before the major FHF.

 

Currently TATNEFT has mastered various technologies of FHF such as local, large-volume, acid fracturing and some others.

 

Having reviewed the technology, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that TATNEFT has been and still remains the locomotive of the economy of Tatarstan and one of the most innovative companies in the Republic and oil and gas industry. He highly appreciated the professionalism of oilmen comparing the technologies implemented by the Company with space ones.
