This device is intended to reduce the density of flush fluids used for drilling production horizons with abnormally low formation pressure.

Low density biopolymer drilling mud has unique technological properties. It helps to  prevent drilling problems and preserve reservoir properties. The density is reduced by injecting gas into the drilling mud. To perform this operation, a nitrogen compressor station has been used before. As an alternative, the ejection jet pump (disperser) was offered by BelNIPIneft.

The device was tested on wells of Yuzhno-Ostashkovichskoye, Rechitskoye and Tishkovskoye fields operated by Belorusneft. The use of pump for injection of gas into the drilling mud resulted in reduction of density to the target values. And, when used together with the standard cleaning equipment, the pump obviated the need for a compressor station.

Belorusneft is a state-owned vertically integrated petroleum company. It is a top performer of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Belarus, established in 1966.

Belorusneft comprises over 40 subdivisions for oilfield services, engineering, design, gas processing, and petroleum product sales in Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Poland, including BelNIPIneft institute situated in Gomel. Within joint ventures abroad Belorusneft takes part in projects on oil production, seismic exploration, oilfield services and engineering.
