Belorusneft’s drillers began commercially using new drilling mud. The solution was developed by BelNIPIneft experts. This was provided for by a research and development program.

Inhibiting drilling fluid is used for the construction of wells in the rocks of the super-salt complex. Customers from “Rechitsaneft” oil &gas production department assess the effect when they first use a new type of drilling solution. As a result, the mechanical speed of drilling in post-salt depositions was increased by a quarter reducing operational costs, the job went without complications. The first industrial experience at the Barsukovsky and Chkalovsky fields was also successful.

Inna Dobrodeeva, head of the flushing fluids division of BelNIPIneft, determines the rigidity of the drilling fluid filter:

"Tests showed that our inhibiting drilling fluid is a promising and competitive product." For example, in 2017–2018, we were offered service drilling muds “Multibur” and HYDRO - GUARD by foreign companies. Obviously, our solution will match them.”
