MPO expands delivery of Non-Stop Driller Continuous Circulation System

Managed Pressure Operations International Ltd. (MPO), a provider of technologically advanced managed pressure drilling systems is expanding its delivery of the innovative Non-Stop Driller (NSD) Continuous Circulation (CC) system, announced Charles Orbell, President and CEO.
NSD sub consists of a ball valve and a custom designed high-pressure side entry connection valve. Its design pressure is 10,000 psi (with 15,000 psi under development).
Cost effective NSD CC system can be used on the following projects:

Conventional overbalanced drilling with hole problems;

Deepwater operations;

Extended Reach Drilling (ERD) of long high angle/horizontal sections;

High Pressure, High Temperature Wells (HPHT);

Air and Foam Drilling;

Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD);

Underbalanced Drilling (UBD).
By maintaining constant bottom hole pressure (BHP) and enabling continuous hole cleaning during connections, the NSD continuous circulation system prevents well bore ballooning, stuck pipe incidents and connection gas buildup significantly reducing non-productive time (NPT). The NSD is now being utilized successfully in operations from the United States to the Middle East and Asia.
