Changes in the Board of the Russian Chapter of ICoTA for the year of 2015

The newly elected Board of the Russian Chapter of the Intervention and Coiled Tubing Association (ICoTA) has been introduced.

In 2015, the position of the Senior Co-Chair of the Russian Chapter of ICoTA will again be held by Konstantin Burdin, Chief Process Engineer, Well Workover Department, Schlumberger Logelco Inc.


Konstantin Burdin

Konstantin Burdin was born on December 30, 1976 in Donetsk region.

He holds a degree with distinction from Tyumen O&G University, on specialty "Drilling O&G Wells and Well Workover". In 1999 he started his professional career as an Assistant Workover Driller in Surgut Department of Oil Recovery Enhancement and Well Workover. Later he worked as a Supervisor for coiled tubing crew.

In 2001 he was appointed as a Leading Engineer of the biggest coiled tubing well workover department in Russia. In 2003 he got a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences. The thesis was entitled as “Development and Research of Behind-the-Casing Flows Isolation Technologies with CT application”.

He has been working for Schlumberger since 2004, where he rose from the position of a Field Engineer to Chief Process Engineer of CT Well Workover Department.

He is a constant participant of the Coiled Tubing and Well Intervention Conferences starting from the year of 2000. He’s an author of more than 30 technical papers on this subject.


Ivan Yaronovich Pirch, Director of Novinka, CJSC (FID Group) was elected Junior Co-Chair of ICoTA’s Russian Chapter for 2015.

The board of ICoTA’s Russian Chapter now also includes Elena Borisovna Lapotentova, CEO of NOV Fidmash, Halina Aleksandrovna Bulyka, Editor-in-Chief of Scientific and Practical Coiled Tubing Times Journal, the only periodical in Russia that has a right to publish ICoTA materials, and Ruslan Yakubovich Igilov, Sales Director of Tekhnostroyleasing, LLC.


Elena Lapotentova

A. Lapatsentava was born in Minsk on June 23, 1963.

She graduated with distinction from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute, where she studied solid state physics and the Belarusian State Economic University, where she received a qualification in economy and industrial undertaking management.

She fluently speaks English and Spanish.

In the period between 1985 and 1996 she was working in Minsk Radio Materials R&D Institute. In the period between 1996 and 2002 she occupied various offices in FID Group Companies. She was directly involved in development and implementation of FID Group market strategies and start-up of the Coiled Tubing project launched by the Group in 1998. In 2003 she was promoted as FIDMASH CJSC deputy director general on sales and finance. In 2004 she became a director of Novinka development laboratory, engaged in design of special tools and equipment for O&G production.

In December 2005, when NOV corporation became a co-founder of FIDMASH CJSC, she was appointed director general of NOV FIDMASH, a major producer of CT equipment in Eurasia.

Under the supervision of A. Lapatsentava, the company expanded an assortment of its products and penetrated to new sales markets. In 2007–2012 NOV FIDMASH was a regular laureate and the winner of the national contest of engineering companies, received diplomas and awards of the President of Belarus and the Government as the best exporting company.

A. Lapatsentava is a member of the Board of FID Group, one of the initiators of FID Public Association and a member of the editorial board of The Coiled Tubing Times.
