Stavanger well intervention seminar shaping up to be best ever

03.06.2015

What is shaping up to be ICoTA’s best Norwegian Well Intervention seminar programme to date takes place in Stavanger next month.

The seminar on Thursday 11th June will see speakers present a range of technical papers which will share experiences, innovation and case studies relating to well intervention. In particular the four sessions will address innovative technologies in intervention, some of the challenges and solutions relating to well integrity, unconventional intervention systems and intervention case histories.

Keynote speaker at the event will be Jarle Haga, Drilling and Wells Manager for Talisman Energy Norge and others taking part in the presenting sessions include Shell and Statoil along with 12 of the top well intervention specialist contractors.

Scott Mitchell, Chair of the European Chapter of ICoTA said the standard and range of presentations is extremely high this year.

“We received a record number of abstracts for this seminar, and the presentations selected combine to give us one of the best programmes we have had in the 10-year history of the event. In the current economic  climate, it’s essential that we come together to share our experiences, to learn from the innovations which have been introduced in our sector of the industry and to look at what has worked – and what hasn’t – by reviewing case histories.

“There is still time to register for the seminar, and anyone involved with well intervention will find it a very worthwhile and valuable experience.”

An exhibition of some of the latest services and technologies is also taking place during the day.

The seminar takes place at the Clarion Hotel Energy in Stavanger.
