The Belarusian oil company Belorusneft intends to provide seismic and drilling services in India, Belorusneft Deputy Director General Sergei Kamornikov told the media ahead of the fifth international conference "Belarus' oil and gas market: Production, trading, and retail” on 28 September, BelTA has learned.

“Today we are paying great attention to the Ukrainian market which is close to us in geographical terms. We have started drilling oil wells and providing oilfield services in Ukraine. As for our other opportunities in seismic surveys and oilfield services, we should mention Russia, where our largest enterprise Belorusneft-Siberia is operating, and also Latin American countries. Operations in Venezuela and Ecuador continue. We plan to expand our presence on the Indian market, provide seismic service and, probably, drilling ones in the future,” Sergei Kamornikov remarked.

He stressed that Belorusneft puts great focus on scientific support for its projects. “We have come up with a number of solutions in oilfield services, which are now being exported,” Sergei Kramovnikov added.

The companies affiliated with the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim export their products to more than 110 countries. The concern's export exceeded $6 billion in 2016. “Our plants have some traditional markets. There are the markets of neighboring states: Ukraine, Poland, the Baltic countries. They account for the main part of the exports. However, we have been expanding the geographical scope of our export, selling products in Africa and America,” the deputy director general added.

The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Ecuador.

The oil company Yangpur, which is a branch of the Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft, is testing the production of a new oil-and-gas field in Western Siberia, Russia, BelTA has learned. Well No.828 in the Metelnoye hydrocarbon deposit was drilled in 2015. It is 3,730 meters deep. A test of one of its strata resulted in a strong inflow of natural gas and gas condensate. Comprehensive preparations have been done after that, including a junction point, the well site. A pipeline was built to connect the site with the central gas pipeline of the Metelnoye hydrocarbon deposit. A gas metering node was built as well. The deposit's gas pipeline was then connected to the gas collection system of OOO Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk in order to start selling natural gas right away. Gas is sold via the Saint-Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX). Specialists believe that the new asset will produce a considerable increase in the commercial reserves of hydrocarbons. There are plans to drill wells No.813s2 and 829 soon. The Metelnoye hydrocarbon deposit will allow the company to double the extraction of natural gas and gas condensate. Every day Yangpur extracts 450 tonnes of oil with condensate as well as 530,000m2 of natural gas and associated gas. Apart from that, there are plans to drill six exploration wells by 2023 to increase the recoverable oil reserves by 2.5 million tonnes. According to geological exploration data, Yangpur has enough hydrocarbon resources for 24 years of operation. The main task of Belorusneft's northern asset in 2017 is to increase the extraction of oil up to 150,000 tonnes. The figure will be the highest on record since the company was acquired by Belorusneft. The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft acquired Russian OAO Oil Company Yangpur via an auction in September 2013. Back then the company had three oil deposits and one gas condensate deposit and a total of 44 wells. Yangpur's acquisition was part of the program to expand Belorusneft's operation in Russia.
