Belarusian oilmen successfully presented their reports on completion of the first stages of the contract with Oil India

Belarusian oilmen successfully presented their reports on completion of the first stages of the contract for the revitalization of Digboi oil field with Oil India. The work completion reports were handed over to the company during the visit of the Belorusneft delegation to India.

The parties discussed work progress on the implementation of the contract for rendering engineering and consulting services, which  was signed last year. It launched a unique project for rejuvenation of one of the oldest oil fields in the world and the first one in Asia. Development of Digboi began in 1889 and continued until 1971.

BelNIPIneft experts are providing large-scale complex of high-tech engineering services from studies aimed at assessing potential of Digboi to preparation of development plan for oil, condensate and gas production. During the visit to India BelNIPIneft experts made presentations on completion of stages 2-5 of the contract. Work results were highly praised by Oil India. The work scope included seismic data digital processing and interpretation, creating reservoir petrophysical model based on core analysis and geophysical data, geological analysis of the characteristics of the development targets. At the same time, the employees of BelNIPIneft are already engaged in the next project stages. They are developing formulations and compositions of reagents to intensify production, and shut off formation water. The next step is the preparation of a program of geological and technical measures, with the engineering support of fieldwork. The delegation of Belorusneft got acquainted with the infrastructure and surface conditions of the Digboi field.

During the visit, the Belarusians also made presentations on casing string window milling and the patented technology of refining oil sludge into water dispersion.
