3D seismic survey operations in Ecuador have been started by the specialists of Production Association Belorusneft.

The two-year contract signed with the state-run oil company of Ecuador Petroamazonas EP provides for performance of field works over the area of 1,500 sq. km (370,700 acres). Let it be reminded that Belorusneft subsidiary enterprise was incorporated in this state of South America at the end of last year. At the same time the first contract for engagement of Belarusian personnel and use of recording equipment in seismic exploration on the territory of Ecuador was signed.

Today, the Production Association Belorusneft has accomplished the accreditation procedure for provision of services to Petroamazonas EP.

The second seismic operations crew of Belorusneft is being prepared for work currently. The Belarusian field geo-scientists have two modern telemetric complexes at their disposal. As for the data recording capacity, the complexes have up to 10,000 channels.

Dynamic development of the branch will continue in the nearest future as the scope of seismic surveys will be increased in the regions, and the range of services rendered will be expanded.
