Belorusneft, Russian EuroChem team up for science-intensive engineering

The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft and the Russian mining and chemical company EuroChem are ready to advance cooperation in the area of science-intensive engineering, the press service of the Belarusian company told BelTA.
Prospects of working together in 2017-2018 were discussed as a EuroChem delegation led by Administrative Director Igor Shchelkunov visited Gomel. The Russian company is ready to utilize the research potential of Belorusneft's BelNIPIneft institute and Belarusian drilling crews for the sake of building production wells and exploration wells for its daughter enterprise — OOO Severneft Urengoi.
BelNIPIneft specialists have prepared a complex analysis of geological and geophysical information for a number of deposits in Russia. Ascertaining the geological composition for the sake of choosing the future strategy for exploiting these assets was the idea.
BelNIPIneft specialists also have plans to monitor the exploitation of the deposits, provide geological technology support for drilling operations. Plans have also been made to offer Belarusian oil recovery enhancement services and services of Belorusneft drilling crews for building wells.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
EuroChem is one of the largest producers of mineral fertilizers in Russia and the world. The company has an oil and natural gas division dedicated to projects connected with the prospecting, extraction, and processing of hydrocarbon resources.
