The question is about the Gartsevskoye field of the Pripyat trough. Specifically, about its southern block. For wells drilling new technologies were used. The reason of it are difficult oil production conditions in this area. According to preliminary estimates, original oil in place is about 800 thousand tons.

The most powerful was oil influx from the Voronezh formation - 100 tons per day were received from this horizon at a depth of more than 4 thousand meters. For the Belarusian region, this is considered a great success. It is a high quality, mobile, industrial oil. Lightweight, with low concentration of sulfur. And the yield of light petroleum products during its processing is quite high.

At the Gartsevskoye field drilling is going on. Definite calculation of the reserves will be possible after the well comnpletion in 2020.

This year, Belorusneft plans to conduct 3D seismic survey at the area of 379 square kilometers. This is the highest rate in the last 25 years. Exploration drilling is also aimed at maximum. It is expected that in 2020 such wells will cover 39 thousand meters of rock. All this will serve to maintain the raw material base and keep oil production in Belarus at a high level.
