Gazprom Neft expands its collaboration with Russian digital-solutions producers

The Gazprom Neft Moscow Refinery has deployed an automated production control system for a high-octane gasoline component facility — all hardware and software components for which, including equipment memory hardware and software, were developed by Russian companies based in Novosibirsk and Ekaterinburg. The new complex will control both technological processes and the installation’s safety features. The deployment of this new digital solution forms part of Gazprom Neft’s digital development programme for its refining facilities.

The control complex receives and processes information from more than 2,000 sensors, including temperature, pressure, ongoing fuel and steam consumption and equipment-loading data, in real time. Cutting-edge technological solutions mean the control system can determine and maintain the most effective regime for the fulfilment of production plans. Automatic safety controls, where necessary, include emergency protection mechanisms, guaranteeing the reliability of all production processes.
