In Ecuador, block 55 was drilled at the Armadillo field, another highly productive well. It is expected that after putting into commercial operation 64 tons of oil per day will be extracted from it. The depth of the well is 3,496 m. Now, work is underway on the arrangement and development.

Recall that the development of the Armadillo field of block 55 is carried out under a contract between the Ecuadorian state-owned oil producing company Petroamazonas and the subsidiary enterprise of Belorusneft, Service Oil Ecuador Ecuaservoil. The project includes optimization of production, development of infrastructure, geological exploration, drilling and wells workover at the Armadillo oil field, development of methods for enhanced oil recovery.

The Belarusians control the entire technical process, provide services for supervision, drilling support, development and operation of wells. Specialists of the Belarusian Scientific Research and Design Institute of Oil solve a set of geological problems: from processing and interpretation to modeling and evaluating the geological environment of Armadillo field. It was the geologists of the institute who prepared the recommendations, suggested where to drill the wells.

Now, taking into account the new well, oil is produced from 6 wells at Armadillo field. The daily volume reaches more than 300 tons. It is expected that the cumulative oil production in 2018 will be more than 100 thousand tons. In total, 11 wells are planned to be drilled under the contract with Petroamazonas.
