Indian company ONGC showed interest in Belarusian methods of EOR. The perties discussed the opportunities for cooperation during the visit of the Belorusneft delegation to India. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation is India's largest oil and gas corporation, accounting for about 70% of the country's production. It participates in the exploration and subsequent development of hydrocarbon deposits in 26 sedimentary basins in India. Also ONGC is considered the leading Indian energy company.

At bilateral negotiations representatives of Belorusneft told about the scientific and production potential of the enterprise. First of all, the Indian colleagues were interested in the method of cyclic selection-injection for the organization of the reservoir pressure maintenance system, as well as the introduction of water-gas treatment technologies Visha-Thermogaz and water inflow limitation. More specifically, oil companies ONGC will be determined after an in-depth study of Belarusian developments in order to identify the most suitable for solving their production tasks.

Belorusneft is realizing in the Indian market a project for the rehabilitation of the mature Chabua deposit - a complex of high-tech engineering services is provided to Oil India. Experts of BelNIPIneft R&D institute – Belorusneft scientific and engineering center of the Belarusian enterprise are doing this job. The goal is to work out a development strategy for the field, which allows to restore production and maximize the extraction of the remaining oil resources. Last year, a similar contract was successfully executed at the Digboi oil field, one of the oldest in the world and the first in Asia.
