Irkutskgeofizika, JSC (a part of Rosgeo state holding) will survey Novoyakimovskaya appraisal well No. 1 located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory on the similarly-named prospective oil-and-gas-bearing area.

The facility is staked on the southern slope of the Novoyakimovskoye High, its design depth is 5,000 m. Integrated geophysical logging (GWL) and geological and engineering survey (GES) will be carried out in several stages. According to the project, at first stage the well will be surveyed down to the depth of 1600 m.

Irkutskgeofizika will perform work under the terms of contractor agreement concluded this year with another subsidiary of Rosgeo, SPC Nedra, JSC (Yaroslavl). The direct performer of the work is the Osinskaya Logging Company being a part of Irkutsk enterprise. GWL and GES set will be implemented using up-to-date computer-based stations and digital downhole tools, which will allow the use of a wide range of study methods. As of today, Irkutskgeofizika mobilizes equipment and transports it to the logging site.

During the first stage of well construction experts face the challenge to obtain current information necessary to address geological, technical and process issues, such as ensuring the specified drilling parameters, identifying reservoirs, quantitative determination of their permeability, porosity and fluid saturation, determining the technical condition of casing strings, cement stone, etc.

The final conclusions on the results of Novoyakimovskaya-1 appraisal well logging will be presented by Irkutskgeofizika to the customer after facility survey in accordance with the time schedule. The work commencement is scheduled for June 2019.
