Paradigm reports the release of Sysdrill 2012

Paradigm™ has released the latest version of Paradigm™ Sysdrill ® 2012, an upgrade to the Sysdrill well planning and drilling engineering product suite. In response to its growing customer base, the upgrade includes many user-driven enhancements in product performance, well planning and survey management, and drilling engineering.

Sysdrill 2012 delivers significant performance improvements, especially for large data sets. The Paradigm™ Sysdrill ® integrated suite of well planning and drilling solutions helps operating and drilling service companies to enhance well planning accuracy, reduce drilling risk and uncertainty, quantify wellbore position and precision, and improve drilling safety.

A sophisticated security function employing a set of access controls allows permissions to be set up for secure enterprise-wide deployment. A history log of all modifications is recorded to ensure integrity of the database.

The new release offers advanced drilling engineering tools specifically designed to model the latest drilling techniques and equipment, such as tractor tools, swivel tools, divertor subs and managed pressure drilling. These advances provide tools that can enable drilling engineers to more accurately and safely design extended reach and deep water wells.

Improvements also include the graphical schematic representation of bottom hole assemblies (BHA) for incorporation into drilling programs, and new survey management tools for quality control purposes. Sysdrill 2012 is fully compatible with the recent Paradigm 2011 Release, enabling integrated subsurface well planning and real-time geosteering workflows.
