In 2015 the RIMERA GROUP's Izhneftemash plant shipped retrofitted АКБ-4 ("a-ka-be-4") drilling tongs to OAO NK Rosneft.

The drilling tongs are to be operated in the Company's fields in the Irkutsk Region, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area and in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area.

As per the contract, Izhneftemash delivered 31 units of equipment, among which there are three different modifications of АКБ-4 tongs. A distinctive technical feature of the delivered modification of a retrofitted АКБ-4.0-03/04 tong is the presence of a hydraulic torque control and limiting system. The АКБ-4.0-03/04 tong is notable for a practically twofold-increased torque rotation speed in fast gear preserving torque in low gear. The АКБ-4.0-03/04 modification is equipped with an electronic system for controlling torque (remotely as well) with an option of generating a report database on equipment operation.

"Izhneftemash constantly develops new oil-field equipment as per the Customer's requirements and increases their share in the total volume of delivery.

In 2015 the sales of АКБ-4 tongs to all the Customers amounted to over 200 million roubles, which is 2.7 times higher than the proceeds from the sales of this production in 2014", says Igor Korotko, Executive Director of OAO Izhneftemash.
