Rimera Group's YuganskNefteGazGeofizika has taken delivery of new well logging equipment.
This past October, YuganskNefteGazGeofizika, the Nefteyugansk-based asset of Rimera Group, has put into service ten new well logging truck hoists. The equipment has been supplied as part of ongoing modernization of the Group's well logging business.
The truck hoists mounted on KamAZ chassis have been procured under a leasing arrangement with Siberian Leasing Company. The new automotive equipment is designed for use in logging operations during well construction and also for studying the existing well stock. The range of processes supported by the new equipment includes: specialist studies by means of wave logging tools (cross-dipole acoustic logs) – a service commonly provided by other oil service companies; logging of horizontal well intervals during development well drilling; combined studies of several geological targets during pulsed neutron-neutron logging, and carbon-oxide logging.
The biggest client of YuganskNefteGazGeofizika is YuganskNefteGaz – the primary oil producing asset of Rosneft Oil Company. The business relationship between the well logging division of Rimera Group and the production company of Rosneft has been evolving on an upward curve: this year's interim results show that the volume of services has increased by more than 10%. Rimera-Service-Yugansk, a Nefteyugansk branch office of the Group's service chain, is also providing services to the Nefteyugansk-based oil company. Early this year, both companies were declared the winning bidders in tenders for contracts to provide well maintenance services at Rosneft-YuganskNefteGaz fields, with Rimera-Service-Yugansk providing well maintenance services and YuganskNefteGazGeofizika – well logging services.
