JSC Pipeline Bends, part of Rimera Group, will ship around 650 pipe bends for the South Tambey gas condensate field by the end of August 2015.

The plant will ship Grade X 70 hot-bent corrosion-resistant Ø530 mm, 28.5 mm and 44 mm wall pipe beds. It is the plant's first experience of manufacturing this size bends. 28.5 mm LDP shells will be supplied by ChelPipe's Vysota 239 plant.

While preparing for the project, Pipeline Bends performed a range of routine tests to ensure that the curve area of the bend retained the mechanical properties of the shell. Pipeline Bends also bought heating rings for the heating coils of the mills specifically for the Yamal LNG Project. White metallurgists of the Vysota 239 plant in their turn provided high-quality properties of the pipe shell by using the new tools in the flanging machine and the expander.

"Cooperation of the ChelPipe divisions in the execution of client orders is a guarantee for the client that the delivery deadlines will be met. Moreover, by exercising this approach, our company proves itself as an integrated supplier ready to offer products of the same quality across the entire product range", says Valentin Tazetdinov, Rimera's Deputy General Director, Mainline Equipment.

Rimera Group is a division of ChelPipe, combining its assets in equipment and services for energy sector companies. The Group incorporates leading Russian petroleum engineering companies, top manufacturers of pipe bends and valves, well logging companies, and a network of service facilities across Russia's key oil-producing regions.
