Rimera Group’s Izhneftemash has launched the production of a new USP-20K blending and cement surge tank system for PetroAlyans company.

USP-20K features a 20 cub. m. mixing tank divided into two parts, allowing to mix fluids with different properties for various operations. The unit uses recirculation pumps, which increases mixing quality. The system is mounted on the KamAZ 43118 6x6 all-terrain chassis.

The system incorporates new solutions used by Izhneftemash for the first time ever, such as: vertical centrifugal pumps and a hydraulic pump drive mechanism, resulting in a compact unit arrangement at the well site. The blending and cement surge tank is also equipped with basket strainers used to collect solidified mixture fragments, preventing them from getting into new mixture, which safeguards parts and components against accelerated wear.

According to Anton Ilyin, Izhneftemash Technical Center Director, "USP-20K is a multi-purpose system combining all the equipment needed to mix drilling muds, cement slurries and other process fluids for drilling and well servicing operations. Being multi-functional and highly mobile, the unit has a high utilization factor, which helps out clients to shorten construction periods at the wellsite".

Rimera Group incorporates leading Russian petroleum engineering companies, top manufacturers of pipe bends and valves, well logging companies, and a network of service facilities across Russia’s key oil-producing regions.
