Engineering and geological expedition of AO Yuzhmorgeologiya (city of Gelendzhik, the company is part of Rosgeo State parent company) is completing the field works, which were planned for the year of 2018, on State monitoring of state of the subsurface in the coastal shelf zone of the Caspian Sea.

The research is being conducted in accordance with the Contract signed in January this year with the Southern Regional Subsurface State Monitoring Center GMSN, FSBI Gidrospetsgeologiya branch.

According to the technical assignment, AO Yuzhmorgeologiya makes observations and collects qualitative and quantitative indicators of the state of the subsurface in the coastal shelf zones of the Azov-Black Sea and Caspian basins. The term of the Contract is to be met by the end of 2019.

During the field season 2018, the company selected soil samples at the sites in order to define physical and mechanical characteristics, geochemical indicators of gas and fluid release, engineering and geological survey of areas and objects exposed to the negative impact of dangerous exogenous geologic process. The received materials will allow to estimate regional activity of exogenous geologic process in 2018 and to make a forecast for 2019.
