Rosgeo is going to analyze the drill-hole cores of the Arctic Islands and assess their oil potential

KamNIIKIGS, JSC (town of Perm, the company is a part of Rosgeo State Holding) will perform the analytical studies of the drill-hole cores of the Arctic Islands. The company won the respective open tendering procedure. The Customer under the contract is I. S. Gramberg All-Russian Research Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources of the World Ocean. The exploration is financed from the resources of the federal budget.
As a part of the project, the samples taken from parametric wells drilled on the Kolguev Islands (Bugrin-1, Izhimka-Tarksk-1, West-Peschanoozersk-3) and West Shpitsbergen (Grumant-1 well) will be analyzed.
The geochemical studies based upon Rock-Eval 6 analytical device will allow making a quantitative evaluation of oil and gas generation properties of sedimentary rocks and the oil potential.
The final geological report will include the base of analytical studies. It is planned to complete the project in September 2019.
