Shell Russia Country Chair Visited Salym Oilfields

Shell Russia Country Chair Olivier Lazare visited the Salym group of oilfields. The visit coincided with the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Salym project.
Olivier Lazare visited a drilling rig and a well pad equipped with Smart Fields technology as well as Central Processing Facility and Power Generation Plant. During the visit to key production facilities Shell Russia Country Chair was accompanied by SPD managers: CEO Oleg Karpushin, Technical Manager Luc van Son, Operations Manager Alexander Usanov and Finance Director Konstantin Karabadzhak.
A meeting of Olivier Lazare with First Deputy KHMAO Governor Alexander Kim and acting Subsurface Department Director Vladimir Korkunov was held at the Salym Operations Base where main administration facilities and accommodation camp are located. SPD Operations Manager Alexander Usanov told the guests about the main milestones of the Salym project and key successes that were achieved by the company. After the general presentation on Salym oil fields the delegation of KHMAO Government and Shell officials visited the Central Processing Facility where they saw Smart Fields technology in action.
Olivier Lazare also attended the festive event devoted to the Oilman’s Day and the 10th anniversary of the Salym project. He congratulated SPD staff with the first big anniversary and thanked them for the excellent job. “The Salym project was a great ‘learning journey’ for us, and we now have the experience of successfully developing onshore oil fields in Western Siberia. That is why we look forward to addressing new exciting opportunities that will make the second decade of Salym development even more successful that the first ten years”, told Olivier Lazare.
