Auditors of Bashneft oil company assessed the possibility of  pilot testing of Belarusian technology SKIF® on their oil assets. Designed by the experts of Belnipineft R&D Institute, it’s assigned for production stimulation and development of hard-to-recover reserves.

For the first time Bashkir oilmen could assess the technology SKIF®  at the beginning of the year while visiting Belorusneft production facilities. The management of PLC Bashneft was shown a set of equipment for radial washin-out of filtration channels on the well № 280 of Rechitskoye oil field.

During the last visit representatives of the Russian company carried out technical audit of the staff, equipment SKIF® and also maintenance of downhole equipment complex. Besides, the parties have discussed the preparation to pilot testing. They plan to proceed to pilot testing in Russia this year. Bashkir colleagues were so much interested in this Belarus-made technology, that they are ready to test it on their fields. This will be the first project for testing this technology abroad. The tests are planned to be performed on 20 wells of PLC Bashneft.

«We’ve worked fruitfully, we found out how to implement this process from the technical point of view, – said deputy chief engineer for new technologies of LLC «Bashneft-Dobycha» Andrey Vorostsov. -  I see no obstacles to carry out the testing here in Bashkiria».

Essentially, filtration channels 100 m long are formed from the cased string perpendicularly to a well axis in a producing layer. Such channel network allows increasing of reservoir drainage zone in low permeability reservoirs and permeability of a bottom hole zone with increase of well delivery. According to expert opinion, SKIF® could be claimed as an alternative to jet perforation and hydraulic fracturing.

New product by Belnipineft R&D Institute has own equipment: experts of advanced technologies department of the Institute and Belarusian enterprise Novinka have developed a set of downhole equipment.  It enables to control technical processes in a well in a real time mode.

This know-how, unique for oilfield service companies worldwide is patented and successfully tested on Belarusian oil fields. As a result of its implementation, well delivery increased greatly, including the wells with previous hydraulic fracturing.

Over the long term for expanding the possibilities of the technology, experts of Belnipineft R&D Institute plan to increase the number of downhole assemblies, improve their technical parameters.  Now manufacturers make a new set of such equipment.
