In 2019, the BelNIPIneft Institute Core Processing, Research and Storage Center was upgraded with new equipment. It’s a spectral gamma-ray core logging unit. The center’s specialists have already successfully integrated it in the production process.

First of all, the equipment allows determining the exact position of the core sample in the rock section extracted from the well. Geologists make core correlation with depth and subsequently with well logs data. The unit can determine the intervals of reservoir distribution, type of rocks, clay (shale) content. This will give geologists an opportunity to apply new approaches to solve E&P tasks.
