Three injection wells of Davydovskoye field became a proof ground for implementation of new technology. According to the calculations of specialists gas injection will maximize the effect: reserve recovery will be activated and coefficient of oil recovery will rise. The employees of BelNIPIneft institute have developed the variants and flow chart for the injection of water-alternated-gas nitrogen mixture, at the moment the feasibility study of this project is being carried out.

Traditionally, gas and water-alternated-gas technologies are considered to be complicated, expensive, requiring exact calculations and scrupulous approach to the injection. The association has been investigating the application of such method for about 4 years by now.

During this period the assessment of water-alternated-gas injection with application of stripped gas and carbon dioxide, as well as of nitrogen was carried out. Upon making inquiries and analyzing the prospective, nitrogen was chosen out of all the reagents. Among its advantages are relatively low costs, technological simplicity of application, and safe use.

When choosing sites to implement the technology simultaneously several components were considered: experiments in the economies, laboratory researches and computations for various ways of water- alternated-gas injection into the wells.
