Cadre Proppants To Sell 40/70 Premium Hickory Sand

Cadre Proppants has announced plans to produce and sell Cadre 40/70 Premium Hickory frac sand at its facility in Voca, Texas. Demand for 40/70 premium frac sand has increased with the advancement of drilling technologies and new frac designs for horizontal wells. The increased number of frac stages per well, combined with increased lateral lengths, has increased proppant requirements to as much as 22 million pounds per horizontal well.

“As the costs of hydraulic fracturing continue to increase, operators and service companies are seeking economic savings through completion design, while maintaining optimal production rates. Cadre’s Premium Hickory 40/70, in close proximity to the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford Shale, will provide our customers with competitively priced proppants that can be delivered by truck directly from the plant-site to the well-site,” said Adam Carte, president of Cadre Proppants.

“Our Proppant-on-Demand System (PoDS), located adjacent to our mine, with 90 million pounds of storage, enables us to reduce or eliminate the logistical issues and additional costs associated with storing and delivering the large volumes of proppant required in today’s frac market.

“Furthermore, the ability to displace higher-cost proppants from northern sources will allow for an increase in the amount of proppant used in the fracturing process, a technique that has been shown to increase well production rates. Using a proppant with an overall lower-landed cost delivered directly to the well-site can increase production rates without increasing well completion costs,” noted Carte.

This API/ISO quality premium natural sand will be available starting December. Orders for this product may be placed beginning November.
