Rimera Group’s Izhneftemash has upgraded its KPSh-3 suspended sucker rod tongs specially for Belorusneft.

Compared to the stock-produced model, the new KPSh-3M features more ergonomic controls. Tongs design will allow for installation of a hydraulic control valve made by Italian Walvoil.

“In pursuit of our export development strategy, we actively develop our contacts with colleagues from abroad and consider the Belarus market to be one of top priority. This is why we have tried our best to accommodate the custom requirements put forward by Belorusneft. We hope the test lot of new units will demonstrate reliable operation and that KPSh-3M tongs will appeal not only to the oilers of Belarus, but our partners from Russia and the rest of CIS,” says Sergey Shunin, Izhneftemash Executive Director.

The company will begin work on the Belorusneft order in April. The updated KPSh-3M tongs have kept the technical advantages of the previous KPSh-3 model: compact high-torque hydromotor, impact-resistant design, chain sling with accurate suspension height adjustment, disk brake in place of band brake. We succeeded in minimizing the service requirements and creating the most compact and lightweight tongs compared to the previous generation models.

In 2013 Izhneftemash sales to Belarus grew 27% over 2012. Same as the Izhevsk facility, Rimera's Alnas and SOT also reported sales to Belarus in 2013.
