NK Yangpur, JSC acquired oil free-flowing with current yield of 100 tonnes upon drilling a sidetrack at well No. 123s2 in late summer - early autumn at Osenneye field.

New well was drilled into a virgin part of the deposit down to 3,548 m (11,640 ft). Its vertical depth is 2,945 m (9,662 ft), shifting is 1,393 m (4,570 ft), with angle at the bottomhole of 34 degrees.

Well construction was planned according to the Design document of the development of the Osenneye field. Design document was drafted by the specialists of BelNIPIneft. During the planning procedure future drilling site seismic data that had been previously collected was reinterpreted. The drilling itself was preceded by deepening and transfer to production stock of well No. 823 of the same Osenneye deposit. The oil free-flowing with yield of 50 tonnes obtained here confirmed the expected oil saturation of this section of the field.

With due account given to the new data, a decision to drill new sidetrack of well No. 123 was taken. The well was brought into production earlier, but due to high water cut oil production on such well was suspended.

Such constructive approach to the selection of the project site for drilling-in of new reservoir proved fruitful. A flow of dry crude oil with a yield of 100 tonnes was obtained as a result.
