The first results have shown that the efficiency of the well was enhanced. Last year this unique Belarusian technology of hard-to-recover reserves stimulation and development was tested in a total of six wells of Belarusian deposits. During such operations, filtration channels of up to 100 meters long are made out of the casing string into the producing zone perpendicular to the axis of the well. This allows to enhance the drainage zone in tight reservoirs and improve the wellbore area permeability.
Pilot tests of this method were carried out using the advanced equipment designed by engineers of the BelNIPIneft Department for Innovative Solutions Development and Belarusian Company Novinka, CJSC. Radial drilling complex includes a mini-coiled tubing unit and a downhole assembly.
In accordance with Belorusneft Coiled Tubing Technologies Development Program for 2015, the company will perform operations connected with the enhancement of multilateral wells, geophysical surveys, as well as pilot tests of technology for creating a system of deeply penetrating filtration channels. These operations are to be continued on five wells of Rechitskoye, Tishkovskoye, Borisovskoye and Nadvinskoye oilfields.
