Izhneftemash plant, part of Rimera Group, has started engineering and manufacture of a two-pump cementing unit, Model UNB2-250х50.
It is the first time that the plant is making the UNB2-250х5 two-pump mobile unit following a request from customers – Surgutneftegaz and Union Trade LLP (Kazakhstan). A distinctive feature of this custom-made piece of special-purpose machinery is that two high-pressure triplex pumps, Model NTP-175, which are highly popular with oil industry professionals owing to their high performance characteristics, is mounted on the chassis of the KamAZ-63501 truck.
The new cementing unit allows using the pumps either simultaneously, to ensure a higher rate of cementing slurry injection into wells up to 3,200 meters deep, or separately, with one pump backing up the other so as to ensure an uninterrupted well cementing process.
The new cementing unit is being engineered and certified within a tight time frame, as deliveries of UNB2-250x50 to Union Trade and Surgutneftegaz are scheduled to be made by year's end.
“Izhneftemash prioritizes development of new products and upgrades of existing ones, since we are focused on meeting customer needs promptly and comprehensively,” says Sergei Shunin, the plant's executive director.
The UNB2-250х50 two-pump mobile cementing unit on the KamAZ-63501 chassis is designed to inject non-corrosive liquids and solutions during cementing, hydraulic jet perforation, sand washing, other washing and squeezing operations during oil and gas well completion and workovers.
