ROSGEO will perform the first stage of drilling the deep Chambenskaya-1 parametric well. The underlying state contract was signed between the holding and the Central Siberian District Department of Subsoil Resource Management. The project is funded from the federal budget.

Its purpose is to study the geological structure of the southern slope of the Kureyskaya syneclise, obtain the geological, geophysical and geochemical parameters necessary to evaluate the oil-and-gas bearing prospects of the Vendian-Cambrian deposits and the upper Riphean layers. Based on the drilling results, further geological exploration work in the region will be planned.

The location of the well is Tungussko-Chunsky district of the Evenk Municipal District of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, the left bank of the Lower Tunguska River, on the right bank of its tributary Taymur, near the village of Kerbo. This site belongs to the territory of the Lena-Tunguska oil-and-gas province.

Projected depth of the well - 5,500 m, projected horizon - Riphean. At the first stage, drilling is planned to the depth of 3,800 m.

Specialists will prepare a feasibility study and a package of licensing documentation, obtain a complex lithologic-stratigraphic, geophysical, petrophysical, geochemical characteristics of the Ordovician-Cambrian deposits to a depth of 3,800 m, study the reservoir properties of rocks and to evaluate the prospects of potential natural reservoirs on the basis of complex interpretation of well logging data, mass and detailed petrophysical and petrochemical studies of rocks, modeling "core-well logging data"and petrophysical relationships.

A comprehensive study of the organic material scattered in rocks and an evaluation of the level of its diagenetic transformation and source potential will also be performed. As a result, a systematized array of geological and geophysical information will be created, technical and technological conditions will be provided to reach to a depth of 5,500 m.

The project provides for laboratory and analytical studies of core and mud, including mass and detailed lithologic-petrographic, biostratigraphic, geochemical, petrophysical.

It is planned to complete the stage and submit a final report to the customer until the end of 2019.
