Ruselectronics Holding, a part of State Corporation Russian Technologies, has developed a series of high-temperature lithium batteries for self-contained power supply of telemetry systems.

A feature of the series with rated voltage 13.4V, 16.5V, 27V, 33.5V is a wide range of operating temperature (0 to +150 ° C / + 165 ° C), high reliability and long-term resistance to vibration and shock loads. The developer of the series is JSC "Lithium Element" (Saratov), Ruselectronics Holding company.

Batteries consist of serial and parallel-to-serial assembly of lithium-thionyl chloride electrochemical system elements and are equipped with a replaceable fuse cutout, 3A or 10A, depending on battery type, and specialized connectors.

MWD (Measurement While Drilling)\LWD (Logging While Drilling) telemetry systems allowing to manage navigation and geophysical drilling parameters in real time and to adjust the direction of wellbore, if necessary, are becoming more common. Thus, wire telemetry, in spite of the speed and reliability, has many limitations for its use. A wireless communication channel, preconditioning the use of self-contained power supply, is a good alternative.

JSC "Lithium Element" is Russia's largest manufacturer of lithium-thionyl chloride (Li / SOCl2), lithium-manganese dioxide (Li / MnO2), thermal and ampule batteries and power supplies, has a number of developments for oil and gas industry. In particular, the company produces pig inspection equipment, as well as backup and self-contained power for various gas industry facilities.
