JSC TATNEFT continues to actively apply innovative engineering developments to ensure the efficient oil fields operation. One of them is a dual injection method. So far, the dual injection technology is  applied in 610 operating injection wells.

The technology of dual injection was implemented in 42 injection wells of the Company during six months of 2013. The additional production by the influenced producing wells totaled more than 1.3 million tons.

The Company is implementing a program of production casing shielding in order to protect downhole equipment from the effects of high pressure and corrosion damage. In the framework of the program there were M1-X packers installed in 243 injection wells during the first half of this year.

Highly reliable M1-X packers are introduced in conjunction with corrosion resistant tubing and anti-corrosion liquid injection, which allows for even more efficient production casing protection from high pressure and corrosion impacts. Since the beginning of the program implementation, M1-X packers have been installed in 4,313 injection wells of TATNEFT.

TATNEFT is one of the largest, internationally recognized Russian oil companies, operating as a vertically integrated Group. The Company’s production accounts for about 8% of all crude oil produce in the Russian Federation and over 80% of crude oil produced in Tatarstan.
