Tenaris will introduce three new TenarisHydril Blue® Series premium connections at booth 2C61 at the SPE Offshore Europe Technology Conference and Exhibition, to be held September, 3-6 in Aberdeen.

The new developments were designed from the Blue® premium connection that has been proving its worth for the last ten years with capabilities that exceed the highest industry standards. Now, this tested and trusted design has been adapted to deliver the same outstanding performance in an even wider range of drilling and completion applications.

TenarisHydril Blue® Max: Designed for HP/HT applications that demand 100% pipe body performance on heavier wall pipe and tested in accordance with the forthcoming revision of the API RP 5C5 CAL IV.

TenarisHydril Blue® Heavy Wall: Designed for deep well and HP/HT applications demanding heavy wall pipe with 100% pressure rated seals and enhanced performance. It has the highest compression ratings for this type of connection and has been successfully certified in accordance with ISO 13679 CAL IV. It continues to be tested under the forthcoming revision of the API RP 5C5 CAL IV protocol.

TenarisHydril Blue® Quick Seal: Designed for large OD surface casing that requires a gas-tight seal and fast make-up. It provides stable performance under combined loads to face potential shallow gas. The connection has been successfully tested in accordance with customer requirements following the guidelines of the forthcoming revision of the API RP 5C5 with test series at ambient and elevated temperatures.
