The work mentioned was highly appraised at the on-site meeting of the Council for Science, Technology and Innovation Policy of the RT Academy of Science. The project was supported and recommended for implementation within the State Order for applied research and engineering developments with co-funding by TATNEFT.

The research is aimed at increasing wells productivity through increasing the production coverage of carbonate reservoir reserves both area-wise and section-wise, and through introduction of gravitation/depression impact on the oil reservoir.

The technology and technical equipment for cement-free casing of lateral wellbores with application of profiled expandable pipes without reducing the well diameter has been developed in the project. The proposed technology implies horizontal drainage wellbores communication with oil producing wells through application of hydraulic fracturing by setting the profiled packer equipped with a shutoff device at the bottom zone.
