The largest cluster of oil wells is now being created at the Rechitsa field – for over 4 years 9 months, 14 wells were drilled, in which the well heads are grouped on a common pad, at a close distance from each other. This allows, inter alia, to more efficiently service production wells. The cumulative oil production from these wells is more than 120 thousand tons of oil.
Cluster drilling, primarily of deviated wells, has become widespread in Western Siberia, since in difficult climatic conditions it is necessary to carry out a large amount of drilling. For Belarus, this method cannot be called typical. But with the appearance of echelon drilling rigs at the Svetlogorsk drilling department, drilling of “clusters” in the Belarusian region is gaining momentum.
In the technical arsenal of Svetlogorsk drilling department there are two echelon drilling rigs. This is Drillmec 1500HP and one Uralmash 3D-76, adapted for cluster drilling.
