RIMERA GROUP’s Almetyevsk plant has successfully accomplished testing energy-efficient submersible motors on Tomskneft's Luginetskoye and Igolskoye fields and on Slavneft's Novo-Pokurskoye field.
High-voltage electrical submersible motors (NPED) have 90 kW output power, O.D. 117 mm, and 28 kW, O.D. 117 mm. The motors have completed 180-day acceptance testing and demonstrated a steady performance without any deviations from specifications and power consumption.
Using high-voltage submersible motors improves energy efficiency of ESP systems used for production operations. Reduced heat losses in motor cable and less motor heating due to lower operating current resulted in a lower overall power consumption of the unit and, therefore, longer runlife. Over the last two years, the batch production has been launched to manufacture high-voltage NPED motors with 117-mm O.D. with power output of 28, 32, 45, 56, 63, 70, 80 and 90 kW to meet the oil companies’ needs in energy saving.
“The new Alnas products have proved to be very efficient at oilfields of major oil companies like Rosneft, Tomskneft, Slavneft and Tatneft. The field test data have shown power consumption reduced by 28%. Currently, engineers at the Almetyevsk plant are working on designing similar pumps with O.D. 103 mm”, says Sergey Sibirev, Director of RIMERA GROUP's R&D Center.
