Methods of Well Penetration to Enhance Oil Recovery
There are many different methods and ways of enhancing oil recovery.
The main disadvantage of those methods of enhancing the productive capacity of wells and reservoirs starting from pool formation is that in order to solve problems that arise you need to resort to a comprehensive set of disciplines including petrophysics, thermodynamics, hydrodynamics, geochemistry, etc. in various thermobaric conditions with multiple changes in the basic parameters of the system of reservoirs and with evaluation being conducted in the field or at testing sites.
There is one known method of spudding and drilling of multilateral wells (Russian patent # 24105132295632) that can be equivalent to the invention we propose. The weakness of such equivalent is small “pinpoint” area of the system of reservoirs that does not define the area of filtration on the whole.
Closest to the invention that we propose is the Russian patent # 2295632 MPK2E21B43/14, E2137/04, according to which in order to produce substantial stimulation and filtration by means of completion it is necessary to perform step-bystep drilling of a cluster of wells to add up to the number of producing wells. However, such method will encumber the already complex system of oil recovery management.
That is why we offer a more flexible method with moderate financial costs which will ensure enhanced oil recovery.
